Tour Of Karnataka stage 1 was conducted as a part of e-week 09 by NEN with theme of GO GREEN
'The living legend of cycling Lance Armstong tells that he doesn`t cycle for pleasure but he rides it for the pain' I experienced this during the coarse of the event

Time: 10:00AM to 1:40PM

True testing started only from day 2 day 1 was next to my daily routine of 26 kms
Total distance:130 kms
Time: 7:30AM to 3:30PM
Date 4Th Feb 2009
The first 100kms was pretty fine but the last 30 was treacherous the gushing winds + burning sun+uphill+soar knee totally it took challenge to next level
There was 75th kannada sahitya sammelana going on
there were thousands of people who had gathered to
appeal to the masses pamphlet i was there with proper
attire and addressed about 100 people in total
The response was overwhelming

major part of journey was icing on the cake
but last 15 kms of the great Indian roads
took everything out of me and my cycle
and the picture gives a lot of meaning to save environment use cycles campaign as it projects a tree which is cut down
As there was a injury to the left knee took 2 days rest
Date: 7th and 8th Feb 2009
Total distance:70kms(virtually 90kms)
Time: 2:30PM to 8:00PM till breakdown
came back 2 Kadur at 10:30PM

cycling in dark started from this day and i got a new gadget for this task a LED torch from nippo
and the unexpected thing at unexpected time happened puncher at a remote place 7 kms from kadur around 8PM then waited for a truck to pick me up didn`t get any then walked along with my cycle back to kadur for 7 kms
Total Distance:150 kms
Time: 6:30AM to 10:30AM Kadur to Chickmaglur
2:30PM to 11:00PM Chickmaglur to Ramanathpur

The most demanding of all days and thats real taste of cycling
reaching Chickmaglur was uphill task
and after that 100 more kms of cycling.... only!
and there was more adventure cycling in dark till 11 crossing some parts where there was risk of wild animals and all these with hero cycle and a led tourch
during this day i sensed what lance armstrong was talking about the conditions he cycled through

It was more of a rest day for the climax stage
